We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and capable Assistant Manager to join our team. This vital role operates at the heart of our restaurant's success and entails supporting the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) by upholding brand standards and inspiring team members. The Assistant Manager will lead by example, coaching, training, and recognizing staff to ensure the delivery of unforgettable customer experiences. This role demands a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about fostering a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging.

The Assistant Manager will be entrusted with overseeing daily operations in the RGM's absence, making important decisions, and steering the team towards operational excellence. They will assist in managing profit and loss through cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance, and labor management, ensuring that financial targets are met while maintaining exemplary service quality. A commitment to health and safety standards is paramount, as is the ability to motivate and mentor team members effectively. Working 48 hours per week, including 40 hours at regular pay and 8 hours at time and a half, this role balances rewarding challenges with professional growth opportunities. Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Exposure to hot and cold temperatures
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high noise level environments
  • Familiarity with food safety and health standards
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication abilities

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • Assist with P&L management by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, and reviewing financial reports
  • Ensure all employees receive proper training and resources
  • Champion KFC’s culture and values, promoting equity, inclusion, and belonging in the restaurant
  • Lead efforts in individual and team recognition, collaboration, and motivation
  • Identify and recruit exceptional talent, supporting the RGM in the hiring process
  • Possess strong communication skills for conducting performance appraisals, taking disciplinary action, and motivating and training employees
  • Adhere to corporate policies, procedures, and Occupational Health and Food Safety standards

Job Duties

  • Ensure consistent customer satisfaction by effectively modeling the KFC Connect Success Routine and prioritizing customer needs
  • Oversee Team Members' adherence to shift responsibilities and maintain high food safety standards
  • Take charge of restaurant operations in the RGM's absence
  • Collaborate with the RGM in assessing team performance, providing ongoing constructive and positive feedback
  • Address employee relations issues as they arise, determining immediate resolutions or escalating to the RGM when necessary
  • Assist in sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring Team Members while driving a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Act like an owner by assisting with Profit & Loss management, including cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance, and labor management
  • Review financial reports and take appropriate actions to optimize performance
  • Support the RGM in maintenance of facility and ensure health and safety standards are consistently followed
