Key responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of the Craft Training program aimed at enhancing unit operations and improving the guest experience. The role also involves supporting the execution of annual financial and marketing plans, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and managing supply levels across various categories including food, kitchen, safety, and janitorial supplies. Additionally, the manager in this role will be responsible for upholding safety, sanitation, and security standards according to IHOP's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Supervisory duties include direct management of craft employees and collaboration with the General Manager in overall unit direction, coordination, and evaluation. The position requires engagement in all aspects of employee management, including recruitment, training, performance appraisals, and issue resolution, fostering a motivated and effective team.
Candidates are expected to hold a high school diploma or GED and possess two to four years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, mathematical competencies, reasoning ability, and a valid driver's license are essential. Certification through IHOP training courses will be provided as part of ongoing employee development.

Job Duties
- Assist in the achievement of budgeted sales and profits
- Develop and maintain professional functional working relationships with restaurant hourly employees, corporate and regional employees, and guests
- Implement Craft Training program for all restaurant hourly employees to improve unit operations and the guest experience
- Assist in the execution of annual financial, local restaurant marketing, guest service and human resource objectives, strategies and tactics for assigned unit
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations which are applicable to assigned unit
- Assist in the recruitment, training and retention of employees
- Ensure adequate levels of supplies including food, paper, kitchen, safety, janitorial, uniform, linen, and miscellaneous supplies
- Ensure the proper operational condition of equipment, building structure and premises
- Ensure safety and sanitation practices are maintained according to regulations
- Ensure security practices as defined by the SOP
- Assist in completion of all required reports and paperwork
- Perform other duties as assigned
