As an Assistant Manager at KFC, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the restaurant by supporting the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) and upholding brand standards. This position requires dynamic leadership skills where you will inspire and lead your team through training, coaching, and recognition to ensure outstanding customer experiences. Acting as a key decision-maker during the RGM's absence, you will take charge of daily restaurant operations and contribute directly to the overall performance of the location. The role involves working a balanced 50-hour workweek, receiving competitive pay with 40 hours at regular pay and 10 hours at time and a half, reflecting the company’s commitment to fair compensation.

Your day-to-day duties will include enforcing high levels of customer satisfaction by effectively modeling the KFC Connect Success Routine, overseeing team adherence to operational and food safety standards, and assisting in recruiting and hiring new team members. You will also manage critical financial aspects like Profit and Loss (P&L), cash control, inventory management, labor scheduling, and security procedures. Supporting the RGM in maintaining facility safety and health standards will also be part of your responsibilities. This role demands strong communication skills, effective team collaboration, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and employee relations. Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • Assist with P&L management by following cash control and security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor and reviewing financial reports
  • Ensure all employees receive proper training and resources
  • Champion company culture and values promoting equity, inclusion and belonging
  • Lead efforts in individual and team recognition, collaboration and motivation
  • Identify and recruit exceptional talent, supporting hiring processes
  • Possess strong communication skills for conducting performance appraisals, taking disciplinary action and motivating and training employees

Job Duties

  • Ensure consistent customer satisfaction by effectively modeling the KFC Connect Success Routine and prioritizing customer needs
  • Oversee team members' adherence to shift responsibilities and maintain high food safety standards
  • Take charge of restaurant operations in the RGM's absence
  • Collaborate with the RGM in assessing team performance, providing ongoing constructive and positive feedback
  • Address employee relations issues as they arise, determine immediate resolutions or escalate to the RGM when necessary
  • Assist in sourcing, recruiting, interviewing and hiring team members while driving a culture of equity, inclusion and belonging
  • Assist with Profit and Loss management, including cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance and labor management
  • Review financial reports and take appropriate actions to optimize performance
  • Support the RGM in facility maintenance and ensure health and safety standards are consistently followed
