Job Description
KFC, known globally for its iconic fried chicken and distinct Southern flavor, is a leading fast-food restaurant chain that has been bringing joy and flavorful meals to communities for decades. Founded by Colonel Harland Sanders, KFC has grown into a symbol of quality, service, and community connection with thousands of locations worldwide. The brand's commitment is not only to serve great food but also to create meaningful experiences where guests feel welcomed and valued. The culture at KFC emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and ongoing personal and professional growth, making it a vibrant workplace for those passionate about food service and hospitality.
The role of an Assistant Manager at KFC is essential in driving both operational excellence and team success. This position goes beyond the responsibilities of a shift supervisor and demands a proactive leader who embodies the restaurant's values and culture. As an Assistant Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Restaurant General Manager to ensure all aspects of restaurant operations run smoothly—from food safety and cleanliness to efficient labor management and customer satisfaction.
This role involves coaching and mentoring team members to deliver an outstanding guest experience consistently. Recognizing the achievements of the team and fostering a positive, inclusive, and energetic work environment are key parts of the job. You will be responsible for supporting the recruitment process, helping hire new talent that aligns with KFC's core values of equity and inclusivity. Moreover, you will act as a business partner, assisting with profit and loss management by monitoring inventory, labor costs, financial reports, and cash handling procedures.
The Assistant Manager steps up as the leader when the General Manager is unavailable, making decisions that keep the restaurant on track and maintaining high operational standards. You will also use KFC's Connect Success Routine, a method designed to uphold world-class hospitality and service. This position requires a leader who is detail-oriented, confident, and capable of resolving conflicts professionally while promoting a fun and collaborative workplace culture.
KFC offers a dynamic work environment where growth, learning, and leadership development are prioritized. Working as an Assistant Manager presents an excellent opportunity to advance a career in restaurant management while working with a diverse and passionate team. This role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with a competitive base salary and performance-based bonuses. KFC emphasizes investing in its people, with benefits such as paid time off, free meals during shifts, and access to medical, dental, and vision insurance. Additionally, career advancement programs, tuition reimbursement, and unique perks like KFC Foundation programs for education assistance are offered to support your professional journey.
Joining KFC as an Assistant Manager means becoming a part of a family that values bold leadership, relentless growth, and a commitment to delivering moments of joy to every guest. It's a role that challenges you to lead with energy, passion, and integrity while shaping the future of the restaurant and the people within it.
