Job Description
The establishment located at 4120 E McCain Blvd 108, North Little Rock, AR 72117, United States, is a well-operating restaurant that prides itself on delivering fast, accurate sandwiches and world-class customer service. As part of a dynamic team, this restaurant is committed to offering high-quality products in a clean, organized environment. The company emphasizes efficiency, proper food handling, and excellent customer experiences to maintain its reputation in the competitive foodservice industry. The restaurant operates with a dedicated management team, including a General Manager and an Assistant Manager, who oversees daily operations during the General Manager's absence to ensure all aspects run smoothly and according to standards.
The role of Assistant Manager is crucial to the restaurant’s success. This position involves managing a team of approximately three to 15 employees while fostering a positive and productive work environment. The Assistant Manager is responsible for guiding staff through on-the-job training, ensuring that all employees perform their duties with competence and professionalism. They delegate tasks and oversee the ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning, and paper supplies to minimize waste and prevent theft. Forecasting and estimating food consumption per shift is another key responsibility, helping to maintain inventory accuracy and reduce operational costs.
On any given shift, the Assistant Manager supervises food preparation and service operations to guarantee both product quality and speed. They also assist during peak hours to maintain restaurant efficiency, demonstrating leadership and hands-on involvement. Deliveries and driver supervision fall under their purview as well, where they strive to maximize delivery business and ensure timely service. This role involves completing daily food preparation tasks, such as opening procedures, meat and vegetable slicing, and bread production, as well as closing procedures to wrap up shifts effectively.
The Assistant Manager enforces all systems and procedures with 100 percent integrity and completeness, consistently completing required daily and weekly paperwork to document operations accurately. They maintain full responsibility for cash drawers throughout their shift and conduct audits of previous shifts to uphold high standards. Preventive maintenance and upkeep on store equipment and supplies are also part of the job, ensuring the restaurant remains in excellent operational condition.
Candidates for this role must demonstrate strong math skills including addition, subtraction, fractions, and percentages, and possess proficiency in basic computer software such as Excel and Word. It’s essential they have the physical stamina to meet job demands, as the position requires standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing other physical tasks. The environment maintains a moderate noise level, and employees should be comfortable working in this setting.
Special requirements include willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs arise. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver’s license, have reliable transportation, current automobile insurance, and a clean driving record. The position demands a commitment to working 50-60 hours per week, reflecting the dedication needed to succeed in a fast-paced restaurant management role.
Overall, the Assistant Manager position offers an exciting opportunity to develop leadership skills, manage a dedicated team, and contribute significantly to the restaurant's ongoing success while ensuring customers receive exceptional service and quality food products in a welcoming atmosphere.
