The role is a full-time Assistant Manager position, with a pay starting at $15.00 per hour and a work schedule of approximately 40 to 43 hours weekly. There is also a monthly profit-sharing bonus program and a paid time off (PTO) benefit included.

As an Assistant Manager at Jimmy John's, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. Working under the supervision of the General Manager, this position involves managing a team of 10 to 20 employees by assigning tasks, overseeing performance, and evaluating work. You will assist in hiring, training, promoting, and when necessary, disciplining or terminating staff members. Your leadership will extend to ensuring the seamless operation of the store, including food preparation processes like bread baking, meat and vegetable slicing, and maintaining cleanliness standards. You will be responsible for managing food and labor costs effectively, forecasting inventory needs, and supporting the scheduling and routing of deliveries to maximize service speed and accuracy.

This role demands excellent communication, management and organizational skills, as well as the physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and working in a fast-paced, high-stress setting. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • manages a staff of 10 to 20 employees
  • assigns, oversees, and evaluates work
  • assists in hiring, training, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and termination of employees
  • provides on-the-job training for new employees or delegates others to do so
  • assists in the ordering, receipt, storage, and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning, and paper supplies
  • forecasts food items and estimates consumption per shift
  • assists in greeting customers, using the cash register, preparing, and assembling orders
  • maintains and oversees restaurant cleanliness standards
  • ensures every customer receives world-class customer service
  • routes deliveries and serves drivers to maximize delivery business and speed
  • completes daily food preparation including opening procedures, meat and vegetable slicing, bread production
  • executes and audits systems and procedures with 100% integrity and completeness
  • performs other related duties as required
