The role of the Assistant Manager at KFC is pivotal to the restaurant's operational success. As an Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Restaurant General Manager to uphold KFC’s brand standards and lead your team to deliver outstanding service and customer experiences. This position involves taking charge of daily restaurant operations in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards for food safety and quality. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous management experience in a restaurant or retail environment
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team
  • Familiarity with profit and loss management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including days, evenings and weekends
  • Knowledge of occupational health and food safety standards

  • Experience in restaurant or retail management
  • Strong communication skills for conducting performance appraisals and training employees

  • Knowledge of cash control and inventory management

Job Duties

  • Ensure consistent customer satisfaction by effectively modeling the KFC Connect Success Routine and prioritizing customer needs
  • Oversee team members' adherence to shift responsibilities and maintain high food safety standards
  • Take charge of restaurant operations in the General Manager's absence
  • Collaborate with the General Manager in assessing team performance and providing ongoing feedback
  • Address employee relations issues and determine resolutions or escalate as appropriate
  • Assist in sourcing, recruiting, interviewing and hiring team members while promoting equity and inclusion
  • Assist with profit and loss management including cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance and labor management
  • Review financial reports and take appropriate actions to optimize performance
  • Support facility maintenance and ensure consistent adherence to health and safety standards
