Job Description

KFC is a renowned global fast-food restaurant brand known for its iconic fried chicken and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. As part of the Yum! Brands family, KFC operates thousands of locations worldwide, specializing in quick-service dining that emphasizes quality, speed, and customer satisfaction. KFC restaurants are celebrated for their unique blend of secret recipe chicken, strong brand heritage, and vibrant team culture that values inclusion and growth opportunities. The company prides itself on providing a supportive and engaging work environment where employees can thrive and develop their careers within the restaurant industry.

As an Assistant Manager at KFC, you will play a pivotal role in the daily success of the restaurant. You will support the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) by ensuring adherence to brand standards, delivering excellent customer service, and fostering a motivated and driven team. This role requires hands-on leadership, where you train, coach, and recognize team members to uphold KFC's core values and create memorable guest experiences. You will also take charge of operational responsibilities in the RGM's absence, making important decisions and maintaining smooth restaurant operations.

The position offers a dynamic and rewarding work experience with a 50-hour weekly schedule, composed of 40 hours at regular pay and an additional 10 hours compensated at time and a half. This structure balances work and compensation fairly, encouraging both personal and professional growth. Beyond managing day-to-day restaurant functions, you will also contribute to the recruitment and hiring of talented team members, ensuring a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging. Your leadership will directly impact employee satisfaction and operational excellence, making every shift successful.

The Assistant Manager will collaborate closely with the RGM to manage Profit and Loss (P&L) components, including cash control, inventory management, labor optimization, and security procedures. You will analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve restaurant performance. Additionally, you will take an active role in maintaining health and safety standards to protect employees and guests alike. This role requires strong communication skills, decisiveness, and a collaborative mindset to handle employee relations and operational challenges effectively.

Joining KFC means becoming part of a vibrant, well-established brand with a strong emphasis on fun, teamwork, and continuous improvement. As an Assistant Manager, you’ll have access to competitive pay and bonus opportunities, medical benefits from day one, paid time off, free meals during shifts, and career advancement paths. The company also supports employee development through scholarship programs and the KFC Foundation Programs, which include free college tuition through Western Governors University, a dollar-for-dollar savings match program, and hardship assistance. You’ll experience a work environment that truly values hard work and play, fostering both your professional success and personal well-being.
