The role available is for a Restaurant Assistant Manager, a pivotal position within each AES-operated Arby's location. This role entails assisting in guiding and motivating the restaurant team to ensure a superior guest experience. The Assistant Manager sets the operational tone, consistently upholding the highest standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness. They play an essential role in staff management, including hiring, training, and coaching, helping to build a strong, efficient team committed to delivering excellent service. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple priorities with integrity and composure.

Specifically, the Assistant Manager will implement restaurant controls, focusing heavily on cash and inventory management. They will collaborate closely with the General Manager to meet and exceed restaurant goals related to operations, profit and loss, guest satisfaction, customer service, speed of service, and quality control. The Assistant Manager ensures adherence to all government and food safety regulations and enforces employment laws and accounting controls.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
  • Must be ServSafe certified or capable of obtaining certification
  • Ability to work in warm and cold temperatures
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders for general maintenance
  • Ability to perform bending, squatting, twisting, pulling, reaching
  • Ability to work full-time shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in restaurant management
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Ability to train and develop team members
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of profit and loss management
  • Familiarity with operations management
  • Experience managing food cost and labor cost
  • ServSafe certification or ability to obtain it

Job Duties

  • Ensure your team provides outstanding service and satisfied guests
  • Hire, train and coach the team
  • Utilize AES Systems to run a great restaurant every shift, every day
  • Implement restaurant controls, especially cash & inventory
  • Set and meet restaurant goals for service, operations and financial results
  • Work with the General Manager to achieve high performance in operations, profit and loss, guest satisfaction, customer service, speed of service, quality control, and workplace safety
  • Follow all government regulations, employment law, food safety and operations policies and implement all accounting controls
