Job Description

Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) is a leading automotive quick service center specializing in providing fast, reliable, and expert oil changes and other essential car maintenance services. With a strong national presence, Valvoline Instant Oil Change prides itself on offering a customer-centric experience and maintaining high standards in vehicle care. The company is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, strongly encouraging people of color, women, LGBTQIA+, veterans, and persons with disabilities to join their team. Valvoline Instant Oil Change is committed to making a positive workplace environment where growth, respect, and teamwork are paramount.

The position of Assistant Service Center Manager (ASCM) at VIOC serves as a vital supportive role directly under the Service Center Manager. This leadership position blends hands-on automotive service responsibilities with supervisory duties aimed at building and maintaining a high-performance team. The Assistant Service Center Manager plays a significant role in differentiating VIOC's service experience from competitors by ensuring outstanding customer service as well as training and mentoring team members. This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to grow a career in automotive service management within a company that values internal promotions and long-term employee development.

In this role, the ASCM is accountable for assisting in the daily operations of the service center, leading and developing hourly employees, and managing key elements such as inventory, labor costs, and financial performance. Providing an exceptional guest experience is a top priority, with responsibilities including offering warm greetings, building customer trust, and fostering loyalty through excellent service. The Assistant Service Center Manager also supports maintaining safety and organizational standards within the service center environment, ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety regulations. This role is designed for individuals who possess strong leadership skills, supervisory experience preferably in retail, and a commitment to creating a positive and safe work environment.

Valvoline Instant Oil Change offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off (PTO), holiday pay, tuition and certification assistance, and access to a free online university that supports ongoing education and professional development. Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage are provided, along with a 401(k) savings plan featuring a 100% company match up to 5%. Additional perks include backup child and elder care services, company-provided uniforms and tools, and a 50% discount on automotive services at VIOC locations. The company emphasizes flexibility, offering work schedules that avoid late evenings and holidays, promoting work-life balance for its team members.

Valvoline Instant Oil Change values fairness, integrity, and equal opportunity. It is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to creating an accessible recruitment process and providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities upon request. The company's transparent commitment to diversity and inclusion, coupled with a supportive, growth-oriented culture, makes this role an excellent fit for motivated candidates eager to advance their careers in the automotive service industry.
