The role of Assistant Manager at Checkers & Rally's is integral to the restaurant's daily operations and long-term goals. This position involves closely supporting the General Manager by helping to execute the restaurant plan, which includes meeting sales and profitability targets, ensuring operational procedures are followed, and maintaining the highest standards of guest and team member service. As an Assistant Manager, you will build sales and profits by actively promoting guest satisfaction and managing restaurant operations effectively. You are expected to escalate any significant concerns or suggestions regarding the restaurant, employees, or guests to the General Manager promptly.

You will also play a key role in team development by assisting with the recruitment process, including interviewing and hiring the right team members that fit the culture and operational needs. Ensuring that company policies and procedures are adhered to during all shifts is a critical responsibility. Moreover, you will be tasked with training team members on operational protocols, company policies, and guest service excellence to maintain consistency and quality across the board.

Handling customer complaints and policy violations with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset is part of your daily duties. Providing regular and constructive feedback to team members to guide performance improvement and encourage professional growth is essential. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • food safety certified
  • 1-2 years restaurant management experience, preferably in quick service restaurants (QSR)
  • basic math skills
  • Microsoft Office and general systems experience
  • strong interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills
  • ability to work flexible schedule and extended hours
  • high energy to keep up with fast paced environment
  • commitment to core values of integrity, service, excellence, and courage to be bold and grow
