Job Description

Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) is a leading automotive service company known for providing quick, high-quality oil change and car maintenance services across numerous locations. Committed to creating a positive and welcoming work environment, VIOC values diversity and inclusivity, encouraging individuals from varied backgrounds, including people of color, women, LGBTQIA+, veterans, and persons with disabilities, to join their team. The company offers competitive wages and benefits, making it a reputable employer in the automotive service industry. VIOC emphasizes employee growth and internal promotion, cultivating a supportive culture where employees can thrive professionally.

The role of the Assistant Service Center Manager (ASCM) at VIOC is a pivotal position where you serve as the right hand to the Service Center Manager (SCM). This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities to ensure a superior service experience that differentiates VIOC from other oil change providers. The ASCM plays a key part in building and leading a high-performance team by advising, training, and supervising hourly employees to uphold VIOC's standards. You will also perform oil changes and additional maintenance tasks, ensuring that each customer receives a warm welcome and exceptional service.

Beyond the technical and supervisory duties, the ASCM has responsibilities that support the smooth operation and financial performance of the service center. This includes inventory management, labor oversight, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental compliance standards. The ASCM also helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, essential for operational efficiency and team morale.

At VIOC, the compensation for ASCM starts at $20.25 per hour with a flexible work schedule that avoids late evenings and holidays, supporting work-life balance. The company offers paid on-the-job training, making it accessible to candidates without prior automotive experience. Additional benefits include paid time off and holiday pay, tuition and certification assistance, access to a free online university, robust medical and prescription drug coverage with health savings account contributions, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with generous company matching, backup child and elder care, company-provided uniforms and tools, and significant discounts on VIOC automotive services.

VIOC's strong commitment to career advancement means that as an ASCM, you will have ample opportunities to grow within the company through its award-winning training programs and supportive work culture. This position offers a unique combination of hands-on work, leadership experience, and career development in a reputable and respected automotive service company dedicated to making a positive difference for its employees and customers alike.
