The role being offered is for an Assistant Manager in the Management category, with a starting pay rate of $20.00 per hour. As an Assistant Manager at Jimmy John's, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the General Manager by overseeing all in-store operations. This includes ensuring the store remains in impeccable condition and all staff members perform their duties efficiently and effectively. Your leadership will set the tone for the team, requiring you to lead by example and uphold Jimmy John's operational standards with complete integrity.

This role is essential in maintaining the overall health and success of the store by supervising financial goals related to food cost and labor, preparing work schedules, training and motivating employees, and ensuring product quality according to brand standards. An Assistant Manager must exhibit a positive, enthusiastic, and friendly attitude, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. Your ability to manage fast-paced, high-stress situations and make smart operational decisions will directly impact the customer experience and store performance.

The Assistant Manager position is a full-time role with the opportunity to work initially 40 hours per week or more, depending on store needs. There is significant potential for career advancement, including promotion to salaried General Manager positions. Job Requirements

  • Ability to work up to at least 40 hour week (or more as needed)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Reliable transportation
  • Physical dexterity required (the ability to move up to 25lbs. from one area to another occasionally)
  • Attendance and punctuality a must
  • Organize and establish priorities in the store with minimal supervision
  • Willing to offer opinions and recommendations towards the store and employees

Job Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of Quick Service Restaurant (QSR)/ fast food experience - managerial experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication, management/leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle fast-paced and high stress situations in the store
  • A team player committed to customer satisfaction
  • Willingness to learn and be redirected by their supervisor in order to achieve maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction

Job Duties

  • Exceeding customer expectations in regards to service and store cleanliness
  • Supervising all financial aspects of food cost and labor goals for the shift and measured periods
  • Preparing and following labor schedules and product projections
  • Training, supervising, and motivating crew members
  • Preparations of products and maintaining quality to meet Jimmy John's brand standards
  • Monitoring and use of all store service equipment
