Job Description

Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) is a leading quick-service automotive maintenance provider dedicated to delivering high-quality and convenient oil change services to customers across the United States. Valvoline Instant Oil Change is known for its commitment to excellent customer service, efficient operations, and creating an inclusive and diverse work environment. The company prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere, where team members from varied backgrounds and experiences come together to build a positive workplace culture. Valvoline's focus on people extends beyond its customers to its employees, aiming to foster career growth, continuous learning, and personal development. It is a nationally recognized brand that emphasizes safety, quality, and professionalism in the automotive care industry. Valvoline Instant Oil Change promotes from within, offering employees clear pathways to advance their careers through structured training programs and ongoing support. The company offers a balanced work environment to ensure team members have the flexibility they need while maintaining a professional, friendly service experience for every guest. This includes no late evenings or holiday shifts, which supports a healthier work-life balance for employees.

The Assistant Service Center Manager (ASCM) at Valvoline Instant Oil Change plays a crucial role as the right hand to the Service Center Manager, helping to cultivate a high-performing team that distinguishes the VIOC service experience from other providers. This position balances hands-on automotive maintenance work with leadership responsibilities such as advising, training, and supervising hourly employees. The ASCM is involved in daily operations to ensure efficient workflow, excellent customer service, and adherence to safety and compliance standards. The role includes performing oil changes and other car maintenance tasks, supporting inventory and labor management, and helping to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Valvoline provides competitive weekly pay starting at $21.25 per hour, paid on-the-job training requiring no previous automotive experience, and various career development opportunities. Team members also benefit from paid time off, holiday pay, tuition and certification assistance, medical, dental and vision insurance options, 401(k) plans with company match, back-up child and elder care, and employee discounts on automotive services. The company’s supportive culture encourages diversity and inclusion, inviting people of color, women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, veterans, and persons with disabilities to apply. ASCMs serve as positive role models who build trust with customers to encourage loyalty while fostering an engaging and productive team atmosphere. This role is ideal for someone passionate about leadership in a retail or service environment, eager to grow their career with a respected name in automotive care.
