Job Description

Panda Express is a renowned leader in the fast-casual dining industry, specializing in Asian cuisine and known for its commitment to quality and service. Established in 1983 in Glendale, California, Panda Express has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, with approximately 2,800 locations worldwide. The brand continues to inspire and empower its associates by focusing on both their personal and professional development, making it a company that values its people as much as its food. With a vibrant company culture rooted in family values, Panda Express fosters an environment where employees are encouraged to grow, excel, and make meaningful contributions to their communities. The company offers extensive training programs, ongoing leadership development, and robust support systems to ensure that associates can build successful careers within the organization.

The Assistant Manager role at Panda Express is a critical position responsible for supporting the successful operation of a single store. This leadership position involves overseeing hiring, managing, and directing store associates to meet financial goals while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the store's success by implementing effective operational strategies, maintaining high standards of food safety, and fostering a positive work environment. The company provides comprehensive paid Store Management Leadership Training that spans three or more weeks to prepare you for this role, equipping you with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive. This is a full-time position offering a competitive pay range from $23 to $26 per hour, with potential bonus opportunities based on performance and other factors such as location and experience.

Beyond the fundamentals of management, Panda Express emphasizes career growth and continuous education, offering associates scholarships, career development opportunities, and leadership training. The benefits package includes medical, vision, dental insurance, income protection plans, a 401K retirement plan with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, and more. The workplace culture values diversity and inclusion, adhering strictly to equal opportunity employment principles, and providing reasonable accommodations as per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Work environments can be fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring stamina and adaptability, but the company supports its associates with a community-driven atmosphere and a variety of employee discounts and wellness programs.

Joining Panda Express as an Assistant Manager means becoming part of a dynamic team where you can develop your leadership skills, contribute to operational success, and enjoy a rewarding career path. With extensive training, mentorship, and a supportive community, Panda Express offers a unique opportunity for motivated individuals to grow within a stable and respected industry giant.
