The Assistant Manager role at Go Rentals is a pivotal leadership position within our service and sales team. The team is comprised of various dedicated professionals, including Lead Guest Services, Guest Services, Lead Drivers, Drivers, Car Washer Detailers, and other staff members committed to delivering an outstanding guest experience. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the achievement of guest service, sales, and profitability goals by collaborating closely with the Area and/or Regional Manager.

This role involves providing effective direction and leadership to field staff, ensuring the seamless operation of services within the designated market area. The Assistant Manager oversees guest satisfaction initiatives and actively works to expand the market share by implementing strategic sales objectives and operational plans. You will be instrumental in managing staff schedules, coaching, and performance management while fostering a positive, guest-centric work environment.

Moreover, the Assistant Manager plays a critical role in the growth and expansion of Go Rentals' guest base, engaging in direct sales activities including outside sales calls, lead prospecting, site inspections, and guest entertainment. The role demands adaptability and proactive problem solving to maintain business continuity and compliance with all relevant laws, company policies, and partner requirements, including those of Fixed Base Operators (FBOs) and hotels.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to two years of driving experience and insurable
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license
  • Must be 21 years of age or older (except Montana or Hawaii)
  • One plus years of managerial experience
  • Experience in sales and customer service
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to speak and understand basic English sufficiently to communicate effectively with management, team members, FBO and hotel partners, and leads, follow verbal and written instructions, and understand safety protocols.

Job Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel for extended periods preferred
  • Smartphone, tablet, and technology savvy preferred
  • College degree preferred
  • Must be able to speak and understand basic English sufficiently to communicate effectively with management, team members, and partners.

Job Duties

  • Assist in the accomplishment of area sales objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
  • Assist in the achievement of area sales operational objectives by contributing sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
  • Assist in meeting area sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions, determining fleet needs, and maintaining the fleet
  • Counsel guest service associates and build rapport with key guests to grow and expand the guest base
  • Recommend fleet and service changes based on consumer needs, trends, and competitor tracking
  • Identify and target group guests to generate business
  • Utilize prospecting resources to solicit and secure business
  • Follow up on business inquiries and leads to qualify and generate revenue
  • Ensure business operations are covered at all times with appropriate staff coverage
  • Manage field schedule and assist in field operations when Area Manager is absent
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and direct sales goals including outside sales calls, prospecting, site inspections, and entertainment
  • Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as directed.
