The Assistant Manager role at Jack in the Box is a pivotal management position responsible for supporting or assuming the responsibilities of the Restaurant Manager, overseeing restaurant operations with a focus on excellent internal and external service delivery. Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • completion of Assistant Manager training classes
  • at least 1 year experience as shift leader or assistant manager for internal candidates
  • at least 3 years assistant manager experience for external candidates
  • ServSafe certification required
  • ability to perform basic math
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to lift and carry 10-65 lbs
  • ability to stand and walk 85-95% of shift
  • valid driver's license and insurance
  • ability to use personal vehicle for bank deposits and travel
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma GED or equivalent
  • associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • minimum 1 year experience as shift leader or 1 year assistant manager experience in customer service
  • external recruits require at least 3 years assistant manager experience with some P&L responsibility
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • ServSafe certified
  • ability to speak read and write effectively in English
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • strong analytical and organizational skills
  • valid driver's license and insurance
  • proficiency with personal computers and software applications

Job Duties

  • provides coaching training and development for employees
  • addresses employee performance and conflict in a timely manner
  • fosters effective communication and team collaboration
  • oversees compliance with health inspections HACCP and other regulatory requirements
  • performs other related duties as assigned
