The Applebee's Assistant Manager role is a critical leadership position within the restaurant. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure guests and staff have an exceptional experience. Assistant Managers are expected to be strong team leaders who excel in problem-solving and thrive under pressure while maintaining positive energy. Assistant Managers are tasked with upholding company guidelines on service timeliness and friendliness, responding promptly to guest complaints, maintaining inventory and sanitation standards, managing employee schedules, and driving safety and security protocols. Additionally, assistant managers use management development programs to continuously refine their leadership abilities, underpinning the company’s commitment to growth and excellence.

Compensation for the Applebee's Assistant Manager position ranges from $20.98 to $27.27 per hour, translating to approximately $60,000 to $78,000 annually based on a 50-hour work week. There is also potential for additional monthly bonuses depending on location. The physical demands of the job require the ability to work various shifts (including weekends), stand and move actively for up to 10 hours, safely lift items up to 50 pounds, and communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
