The Applebee's Assistant Manager role is a critical leadership position within the restaurant. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure guests and staff have an exceptional experience. Compensation for the Applebee's Assistant Manager position ranges from $20.98 to $27.27 per hour, translating to approximately $60,000 to $78,000 annually based on a 50-hour work week. There is also potential for additional monthly bonuses depending on location. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- Ability to stand and exert mobility for up to 10 hours
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and write for communication
- Finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
- Willingness to work in all restaurant positions when needed
- Commitment to uphold company policies and customer service standards
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications a plus
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to develop and motivate teams
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and compliance standards
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- Cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
- Ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints for self and staff
- Ensures guest contact with completion of required table visits as per Flynn Applebee's standards
- Maintains departmental inventory levels
- Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
- Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- Maintains effective safety and security programs
- Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to General Manager/Area Director
- Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- Promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- Maintains trained staff through orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and company policy enforcement
- Participates in employee development using One-on-One and performance documentation and completes written evaluations
- Provides fair feedback and works on employee development areas
- Monitors employee performance and documents corrective actions
- Assures compliance with company policies and local, state and federal laws and regulations
- Controls costs in assigned department
- Drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories and ensures completion
- Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and company standards
- Provides a role model for managers and employees
- Develops self on all store related technology
- Works in all positions and assists team members as needed
- Uses Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills
