The role of Assistant Service Center Manager (ASCM) at Valvoline Instant Oil Change is a vital leadership position supporting the Service Center Manager in overseeing daily operations and building a high-performance team dedicated to delivering a superior service experience. The ASCM plays an instrumental role in advising, training, and supervising hourly employees, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow at the service center. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six months of supervisory experience
  • knowledge of cash handling, facility, and safety control policies
  • ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • be able to stand for extended periods of time and climb stairs
  • comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • have full mobility and can twist, stoop, and bend
  • English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking

Job Duties

  • Perform oil changes and additional car maintenance services
  • assist the Service Center Manager in daily operations and oversight of the service center
  • deliver a positive first impression to each guest with a warm and friendly greeting
  • build trust and win repeat, loyal customers
  • support the Service Center Manager with inventory, labor management, and financial performance of the service center
  • mentor, lead, and train the team to optimize their development
  • help maintain a clean, well-organized service center and facilitate a safe and secure working environment
  • become familiar with environmental, health and safety compliance and other policies and procedures
