Operating numerous franchised locations across the United States, Jack in the Box prides itself on fostering a welcoming and dynamic environment for both guests and employees, upholding a brand promise centered on excellent service, food quality, and cleanliness. This particular opportunity is with an independently owned and operated franchise, responsible for day-to-day operations and employment matters within the restaurant. The role focuses on maintaining the high standards and operational excellence synonymous with the Jack in the Box brand while providing leadership and development opportunities within the team.
The Assistant Manager position at Jack in the Box plays a crucial role in supporting restaurant operations under the guidance of the Restaurant Manager or independently when the Manager is absent. This role carries significant responsibility in driving the restaurant's success by ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain and upholding the Brand Promise. The Assistant Manager leads internal and external service initiatives that not only build strong team dynamics but also enhance the guest experience. A key part of the role involves recruiting, training, and developing employees, monitoring staffing and operational procedures, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and food safety standards.
In addition to fostering a positive and motivating work environment, the Assistant Manager is actively involved in managing the restaurant's financial performance. This includes analyzing operational and financial reports, identifying trends, and implementing action plans to boost sales and profitability. The role demands a keen understanding of the cost-benefit impact of decisions, budget management, and maintaining a consistent focus on quality, service, and safety. Responsibilities also encompass hands-on leadership by setting examples in guest interaction, problem resolution, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant.
Ideal candidates for this position will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for fostering a respectful and productive workplace culture in line with Jack in the Box's values. With pay ranging from $21.50 to $22.00 hourly depending on experience, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a well-established brand while advancing your career in restaurant management. The role requires someone who is a self-starter, organized, and capable of making high-quality decisions under pressure while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Manager will also play an integral part in coaching and developing employees for future management roles, ensuring that the team continually meets and exceeds performance expectations.
