Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in restaurant management
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Physical ability to stand and move well-paced for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Read and write effectively for communication
  • Finger and hand dexterity to use small tools and equipment
  • Willingness to work in all restaurant positions when needed
  • Commitment to comply with company policies and local regulations

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 to 3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus
  • Strong leadership and team management skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines

  • Respond immediately to verbal guest complaints and corrections
  • Prioritize guest contact through table visits
  • Maintain departmental inventory levels
  • Ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards through line checks
  • Schedule employees effectively to meet sales demands
  • Maintain safety and security programs
  • Promote restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
  • Perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs
  • Recruit and refer potential team members and managers
  • Implement Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • Maintain a trained staff through orientation, training, and employee meetings
  • Develop employees through one-on-one sessions, performance documentation, and evaluations
  • Provide fair feedback and assist employee development
  • Monitor employee performance and document disciplinary actions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Control costs in assigned department
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Conduct bi-weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
  • Ensure sanitation standards comply with Health Department and company policies
  • Serve as a role model for managers and employees
  • Develop proficiency in store-related technology
  • Work in all restaurant positions as needed including cooking, seating, and bartending
  • Use the Management Development Program for leadership growth
