Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in restaurant management
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- Physical ability to stand and move well-paced for up to 10 hours
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Read and write effectively for communication
- Finger and hand dexterity to use small tools and equipment
- Willingness to work in all restaurant positions when needed
- Commitment to comply with company policies and local regulations
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 to 3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to train and develop employees
- Familiarity with inventory management and cost control
- Commitment to safety, security, and sanitation standards
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines
- Cultivate a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values
- Respond immediately to verbal guest complaints and corrections
- Prioritize guest contact through table visits
- Maintain departmental inventory levels
- Ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards through line checks
- Schedule employees effectively to meet sales demands
- Maintain safety and security programs
- Promote restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
- Perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs
- Recruit and refer potential team members and managers
- Implement Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- Maintain a trained staff through orientation, training, and employee meetings
- Develop employees through one-on-one sessions, performance documentation, and evaluations
- Provide fair feedback and assist employee development
- Monitor employee performance and document disciplinary actions
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Control costs in assigned department
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Conduct bi-weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories
- Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
- Ensure sanitation standards comply with Health Department and company policies
- Serve as a role model for managers and employees
- Develop proficiency in store-related technology
- Work in all restaurant positions as needed including cooking, seating, and bartending
- Use the Management Development Program for leadership growth
