We are currently hiring for the Assistant Restaurant Manager position at Habit Burger & Grill, offering competitive pay ranging from $19.50 to $23.50 per hour, complemented by bonus opportunities. As an Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to ensure seamless daily restaurant operations, support team development and recruitment, and uphold the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Your leadership will be critical in coordinating communication with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure excellent guest experiences and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include assisting in hiring and training new team members, monitoring food preparation procedures, ensuring adherence to company policies, and contributing to sales growth through guest satisfaction and problem resolution.
The Assistant Manager plays a vital role in managing work schedules, inventory, labor and food costs, and maintaining restaurant cleanliness and organization. You will also be responsible for conducting succession planning and performance discussions to foster career development among team members. Job Requirements
- 2-4 year of experience in related food service management position preferred
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- Food Manager Certification and/or ServSafe Manager Certificate required
- Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule based on restaurant needs
- Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, and training

Job Duties
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of FOH & BOH team members
- Assist and supervise the training and development of FOH & BOH team members
- Uphold food preparation specifics by ensuring standard operational procedures are followed for consistent delivery of quality food items
- Communicate, train, and educate team members and shift leaders on all changes or new procedures, processes, products, promotions, or equipment introduced to the restaurant
- Conduct succession planning one-on-ones with designated team members
- Ensure team members comply with all established standards, including personal safety, food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform
- Manage daily operations of a restaurant shift
- Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution
- Ensure food quality and availability
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stocking in all areas of the restaurant
- Assist in the development of team members
- Maintain and build sales
- Conduct and manage inventory
- Place food orders and process invoices
- Track and manage labor and food costs to meet restaurant goals
- Assist in the preparation of work schedules for team members
- Manage daily operations of opening, closing and mid shifts
- Maintain restaurant equipment in working order and request service or repair for issues
- Directly responsible for maintaining food safety, personal safety, and sanitation standards according to health department regulations and company standards
- Comply with and maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform standards for all team members
- Monitor adherence to all applicable labor laws
- Other projects or duties as assigned by the restaurant general manager
