Job Description

Flynn Group entered the Panera Bread system in 2015 with the acquisition of 47 cafes, rapidly expanding its footprint to become the world's second-largest Panera franchisee. Since then, Flynn Panera has tripled in size through strategic new store builds and acquisitions of other franchise operators. As a key part of the Flynn Group portfolio, which includes major brands like Applebee's, Arby's, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Planet Fitness, Flynn Panera operates with a decentralized model where each geographic area is overseen by a Market Leader. This structure ensures focused attention at every level of operation, from Market Leaders to Area Directors managing multiple units, down to General Managers and Assistant Managers running individual cafes. Team Managers support daily cafe leadership and operational excellence.

Flynn Panera prides itself on its commitment to premier brand operation through core values of genuine care for people, champion-like play, and unified winning. Since its founding in 1999 by Greg Flynn, Flynn Group has grown to be the largest franchise operator worldwide, dedicated to exceptional quality, culture, and team development.

Panera Bread cafes under Flynn Group are known for upscale, friendly environments that showcase artisan baked breads, pastries, specialty espresso drinks, made-to-order soups, salads, and sandwiches. Notably, Panera settings are free from fryers and late-night hours, promoting a cleaner, more welcoming work atmosphere with no late shifts, ideal for morning-oriented professionals.

The Manager role at Flynn Panera is central to delivering outstanding leadership for teams of up to 75 staff members, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational success. Managers oversee all aspects of cafe performance, including staffing, budgeting, operations, customer engagement, and food quality standards. They bring passion for the hospitality industry, coaching ability, and a drive for creating profitable, welcoming environments. Responsibilities range from scheduling and labor management to marketing, catering, and facility oversight.

These leaders uphold stringent cleanliness, sanitation, and safety protocols to maintain Panera's hallmark warmth and quality. The role requires experienced restaurant professionals with stable employment histories, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills. Managers coach and mentor associates through performance development, manage budgets, and proactively address operational challenges. They also act as the vital link between front-line team members and upper management, fostering an authentic, fun workplace culture that drives productivity and engagement.

This position is an excellent opportunity to advance within a rapidly growing concept backed by a globally recognized franchise organization. Flynn Panera offers competitive compensation, profit sharing, comprehensive benefits, and development pathways, supporting managers in building rewarding careers in the hospitality sector. Candidates are expected to embody a 'run it like you own it' mentality, leading by example while championing the company's core values in their day-to-day management. Overall, Flynn Panera provides a dynamic, high-energy environment where motivated leaders can thrive, make a positive impact, and contribute to the brand's ongoing success and expansion.
