Job Description

Flynn Group is a leading franchise operator renowned for its expansive portfolio of world-class brands including Applebee's, Arby's, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Planet Fitness. Founded in 1999 by Greg Flynn, Flynn Group has grown to become the largest franchise operator globally, demonstrating a strong commitment to operational excellence and brand leadership. Flynn Panera, a division of Flynn Group, entered the Panera Bread system in 2015 and has grown rapidly to become the second largest Panera franchisee worldwide by acquiring multiple cafes and expanding through new store openings. This growth is supported by a decentralized business model that empowers Market Leaders to oversee geographic areas effectively, supported by Area Directors, General Managers, Assistant Managers, and Team Managers who collectively maintain high standards and operational success.

Flynn Panera's cafes provide an upscale, welcoming environment where customers enjoy freshly baked breads, pastries, made-to-order soups, salads, sandwiches, and specialty espresso beverages. A defining feature of these cafes is a clean, grease-free atmosphere with no fryers or alcohol service, contributing to a family-friendly, morning-focused schedule without late-night shifts. This unique environment requires managers to lead enthusiastically, inspire their teams, and uphold the brand’s commitment to exceptional customer service and operational standards. The Manager role at Flynn Panera is both demanding and rewarding. Managers lead teams of up to 75 associates, ensuring that every customer receives a superior dining experience. They are responsible for maintaining cleanliness, food quality, safety protocols, and facility standards while fostering a supportive and productive team culture.

As a Panera Bread Manager within Flynn Panera, you will play a pivotal role in the operational management of your cafe, including shifts, staffing, budgeting, marketing, catering, and bakery operations. You will analyze sales and profitability figures to create sustainable business plans and act as the key liaison between associates and company leadership. This position demands strong interpersonal skills to retain and develop staff, manage budgets, and coordinate all restaurant activities during scheduled shifts. The ideal candidate is passionate about the restaurant industry, demonstrates leadership and coaching capabilities, and is deeply committed to creating a workplace where team members can thrive and customers enjoy an exceptional experience.

Joining Flynn Panera also means becoming part of a culture that fundamentally values care, championship spirit, and teamwork. The company’s mission is to lead as the premier operator in each brand they manage. With over 190 years of combined restaurant experience in their leadership team, employees benefit from working with professionals who embody excellence and operational expertise. The management philosophy encourages authentic engagement, mentoring through regular performance discussions, and proactive problem solving to maintain smooth and successful operations. Flynn Panera also supports employees with competitive wages, profit sharing where applicable, meal discounts, medical benefits, retirement plans, paid vacation, and opportunities for professional development, ensuring a rewarding employment experience. Whether you are a seasoned restaurant professional or seeking to advance your career in hospitality management, Flynn Panera offers an outstanding opportunity within a forward-thinking, growing company built on strong values and a commitment to quality and people.
