Job Description

This company is a reputable quick-service restaurant chain known for delivering quality food and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. It operates numerous locations, providing diverse menu options to satisfy a wide range of customer tastes. The organization prides itself on maintaining high standards of food safety, customer satisfaction, employee development, and operational efficiency, ensuring both short and long-term success. The company fosters a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, integrity, and continuous growth, aiming to empower its employees while securing its assets and reputation in a competitive market.

The role of Assistant Manager is vital to the overall management and daily operations of the restaurant. Acting as the right hand to the Restaurant General Manager (RGM), the Assistant Manager is responsible for enforcing company guest service standards, overseeing administrative and human resource activities, ensuring compliance with safety and security policies, and supporting the financial goals of the establishment. This position requires an individual who can balance leadership duties with hands-on tasks, including staff training and development, operational audits, cash management, and guest satisfaction initiatives.

Assistant Managers play a crucial part in recruiting and retaining talented Shift Managers and hourly team members, implementing company-defined orientation and training programs, and fostering a motivating workplace environment. They lead by example to achieve 100 percent customer satisfaction, maintain compliance with all government regulations, and secure company assets with honesty and professionalism. They also assist with employee relations, conducting performance reviews, providing feedback and recognition, and handling disciplinary procedures while ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained.

Operational responsibilities include following opening and closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness and preventive maintenance, adhering to food safety protocols, and ensuring all municipal, state, and federal codes are met. The Assistant Manager must effectively manage financial controllables such as labor, inventory, supply usage, audits, and banking deposits, maintaining strict control over company resources.

In addition, the Assistant Manager supports marketing efforts by executing all programs to increase customer traffic and sales, recognizing business generators, and adjusting staff shifts accordingly. Strong interpersonal skills are required to build trusting relationships with the restaurant team, management, vendors, and customers alike. This role demands a proactive approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently under varying levels of supervision. High standards of personal integrity and a commitment to company policies are essential.

This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to grow in restaurant management within a supportive and dynamic environment. Candidates will benefit from hands-on leadership experience, ongoing professional development, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to the success of a well-established company in the quick-service restaurant industry.
