Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. The Assistant Manager will play a vital role in supporting the overall management of restaurant operations. This is a full-time position that involves diverse responsibilities including ensuring compliance with guest service standards, conducting audits, overseeing administrative tasks, managing human resources, and enforcing safety and security policies. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the restaurant management team to achieve the restaurant's fiscal goals while maintaining a high level of operational efficiency.

In this role, the Assistant Manager will be accountable for both the short-term and long-term success of the restaurant by achieving 100% customer satisfaction and full compliance with all relevant company and government regulations, including food safety standards and labor laws. The individual will also be responsible for securing company assets such as cash, equipment, and inventory, ensuring these are protected according to company policies.

Key responsibilities include assisting with the recruitment, training, and development of shift managers and hourly team members, fostering a motivating work atmosphere, and conducting performance reviews with prompt feedback and corrective actions as necessary. The Assistant Manager is expected to lead by example, ensuring the team consistently meets or exceeds guest service standards and effectively manages guest complaints with the company’s BLAST protocol.

Financial responsibilities include managing labor costs, food and supply expenses, conducting audits, handling cash management, and making bank deposits per company standards. The Assistant Manager will also oversee operational compliance, maintain cleanliness and preventive maintenance programs, and ensure adherence to municipal, state, and federal regulations in health, sanitation, and food safety.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of restaurant management experience preferably in a quick-service restaurant, and food safety certification as required by local or state regulations. Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and insurance are also required. The Assistant Manager must demonstrate strong personal effectiveness, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate well within a team. They should be capable of reading and analyzing reports, managing multiple tasks effectively, and fostering strong relationships with employees, management, vendors, and customers.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • assist in recruitment of successful shift manager and hourly candidates
  • implement and utilize company-defined employee orientation program
  • facilitate development and training plans for the restaurant team
  • build and maintain a positive and motivating work environment
  • assist in conducting performance reviews and provide timely feedback and recognition
  • ensure communication channels and problem resolution are available on all shifts
  • ensure restaurant meets company guest standards and lead by example to ensure 100% guest satisfaction
  • track, complete and manage the restaurant’s financial controllables including labor, overtime, food, supplies, audits, cash management, and bank deposits
  • maintain operational updates and ensure compliance with all training, safety, and security procedures
  • maintain cleanliness and preventive maintenance programs
  • ensure compliance with health inspections and sanitation procedures
  • complete employee and restaurant paperwork in a timely manner
  • implement and execute all marketing programs
