Texas Roadhouse is currently seeking a legendary Assistant Kitchen Manager to support the Kitchen Manager in running the daily operations of the Back of House in their restaurants. This role is crucial to maintaining Texas Roadhouse's high standards of food preparation, presentation, and overall kitchen management. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will be responsible for supervising daily food production, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, managing inventory and waste, and helping to enforce company policies alongside the management team. This role offers a salary range of $17 to $21 per hour and is suited for individuals who are passionate about cooking fresh, made-from-scratch meals and who have a desire to lead and inspire kitchen staff.

As part of the leadership team in the kitchen, the Assistant Kitchen Manager plays a hands-on role that includes helping with serving, hosting, and cooking when needed. Job Duties

  • Supervises and oversees the production of food
  • In conjunction with all management, enforces compliance with all employment policies in area of responsibility
  • Monitors tickets and sets the pace during peak hours
  • Manages through hands on supervision of the restaurant including serving, hosting, cooking
  • Conducts formal line taste and temp checks
  • Ensures proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
  • At the direction of Kitchen Manager, manages inventory and tracks waste
  • Monitors and maintains cleanliness and proper maintenance of equipment
  • Ensures consistency in food and service to increase sales
  • Understands and practices safe food handling procedures
  • Ensures Back of House employees follow established recipes and procedures
  • Creates a safe environment and assists in developing Back of House employees
  • Ensures the cleanliness of the restaurant and safety of guests
  • Maintains the restaurant culture and lives core values every day
