Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous kitchen supervisory experience preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • strong organizational skills
  • food handler certification or willingness to obtain
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • excellent communication skills
  • must be dependable and a team player

Job Duties

  • Supervise and oversee the production of food
  • enforce compliance with employment policies in the kitchen area
  • monitor tickets and set the pace during peak hours
  • conduct formal line taste and temperature checks
  • ensure proper handling, maintenance, and storage of food items
  • manage inventory and track waste under Kitchen Manager direction
  • monitor and maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • ensure back of house employees follow established recipes and procedures
  • practice safe food handling procedures and create a safe environment for staff
  • help develop back of house employees
  • maintain cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests
  • assist with non-scheduled tasks such as serving, hosting, cooking as needed
