The Kitchen Assistant Manager role at Harmons is a pivotal position responsible for supporting the Kitchen Manager in maintaining the kitchen department's quality standards and profitability. This position ensures that all kitchen operations run smoothly, from product quality and inventory management to associate training and customer service. The candidate will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the full-service kitchen, including production planning, ordering, inventory control, and adherence to safety and sanitation policies. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures
  • ensure the quality and freshness of all kitchen products and services
  • maintain appropriate product assortment and inventory levels
  • confirm pricing accuracy and signage for all products
  • ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily
  • deliver excellent customer service
  • order product and create production sheets based on past and projected sales
  • actively participate in the Safety Committee
  • complete assigned tasks efficiently and timely
  • set a professional and positive example
  • communicate openly with Store Director and Director of Kitchen Operations
  • maintain company safety, sanitation, and productivity standards
  • teach, mentor, and educate associates
  • provide honest and direct feedback to associates
  • write kitchen schedules to ensure coverage and labor goals
  • conduct quarterly inventory of kitchen products
