Job Requirements
- Must be eighteen years old
- Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification
- Previous experience in culinary leadership roles preferably in high-volume restaurant environments
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
- Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Exposure to extreme heat steam and cold
- Manual dexterity to cut chop foods and perform kitchen tasks
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in culinary leadership roles such as Jr Sous Chef Kitchen Supervisor or Assistant Kitchen Manager
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations food preparation techniques and industry best practices
- Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to motivate coach and develop staff
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid Food Handlers Certification
- Experience using point of sale systems like Aloha and employee scheduling tools such as Hot Schedule
Job Duties
- Assist the kitchen manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations including food preparation cooking and plating to ensure quality and consistency
- Support menu development and execution according to recipes and standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment following health and safety regulations
- Train coach and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques portion control food safety and equipment usage
- Manage inventory levels track food costs and minimize waste to meet profitability goals
- Conduct regular kitchen inspections and address equipment maintenance needs
- Uphold food quality and presentation standards through regular tasting and evaluation
- Collaborate with front-of-house team to ensure efficient ticket times and coordination
- Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in scheduling staff managing labor costs and optimizing productivity
- Foster a positive work culture promote teamwork and resolve conflicts
- Perform other related duties as assigned
