With a philosophy that hospitality goes beyond just a job, Hyatt places great emphasis on turning trips into memorable journeys, encounters into meaningful experiences, and jobs into fulfilling careers. As a leader in the hospitality industry, Hyatt promotes a workplace environment that values individuality, inclusiveness, and commitment to excellence.
Grand Hyatt DFW, located inside the Dallas Fort Worth Airport Terminal D, offers a luxurious hotel experience with direct access to all terminals and close proximity to TSA checkpoints. The hotel features upscale rooms and suites with stunning runway views, alongside exceptional dining options such as the Grand Met restaurant and bar. It also provides full-service meeting and event spaces, catering to upscale business events and gatherings.
The role of Assistant Human Resources Manager at Grand Hyatt DFW focuses on supporting the hotel’s Human Resources department in daily operations to cultivate a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment. This is a dynamic position involving collaboration with hotel associates and leadership to support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training coordination, benefits administration, compliance, and meticulous HR recordkeeping. The role demands a candidate who is organized, approachable, and service-oriented, embracing Hyatt’s core values and culture while delivering outstanding HR support.
This position plays a pivotal role in assisting with recruitment activities such as posting job vacancies, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating hiring processes, ensuring the selection of qualified talent aligned with the hotel’s standards. It involves facilitating smooth new hire onboarding and orientation, maintaining updated and confidential employee records, and managing HR information systems effectively. The Assistant Human Resources Manager also supports employee relations by addressing associate queries, escalating issues appropriately, and promoting a collaborative workplace culture.
In addition, the role aids in performance management initiatives, including documentation for corrective actions and helping interpret company policies in partnership with HR leadership. It is critical in coordinating training and compliance education to foster continuous learning among associates and managers. The management of benefits programs, leave tracking, and compliance with all applicable employment laws and company policies form a significant part of the responsibilities. Payroll-related follow-up, attendance monitoring, and status change documentation are also supported to ensure accurate and timely HR operations.
Moreover, the Assistant Human Resources Manager actively contributes to associate engagement, recognition programs, and hotel events designed to boost morale and retention. Close collaboration with department leaders to support workforce planning, staffing needs, and overall organizational effectiveness is essential. The role further involves preparing reports, maintaining HR metrics, and assisting with internal audits and reviews while handling sensitive information with the utmost professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. This comprehensive position offers an excellent opportunity to build a meaningful career within an internationally respected hotel brand that champions classic hospitality and exceptional associate support.
