Job Description

Highgate Hotels is a prominent real estate investment and hospitality management firm renowned for managing a vast portfolio valued at over $15 billion. With a presence spanning North America, Europe, the Caribbean, and Latin America, Highgate has established itself as a forward-thinking leader in the hospitality industry for more than 30 years. The company’s expertise covers the entire property lifecycle—from initial planning and development phases to recapitalization or disposition strategies. Highgate’s diversified portfolio includes tailored lifestyle hotel brands, legacy brands, as well as independent hotels and resorts, all featuring modern programming and a focus on digital innovation. Leveraging cutting-edge revenue management tools, Highgate adeptly anticipates market trends to optimize performance and maximize asset value. Supported by a seasoned executive leadership team and corporate offices deployed worldwide, Highgate is a trusted partner to top-tier ownership groups and major hotel brands globally.

The Housekeeping Supervisor at Highgate Hotels plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and high-quality housekeeping operations within the assigned sections of the hotel. This is a key supervisory position responsible for managing daily housekeeping activities, overseeing room attendants’ work to meet rigorous hotel quality and productivity standards, and maintaining overall cleanliness and order throughout guest and staff areas. The role demands vigilance in monitoring work progress, executing daily assignments, and stepping in as the acting Housekeeping Manager in their absence. Responsibilities extend to maintaining key control, handling lost and found items, overseeing housekeeping carts and linen closets, and collaborating closely with other departments such as the Front Office and Engineering. This position also carries the expectation of actively communicating via pager or radio during shifts to facilitate smooth operations.

An essential part of the role is to ensure that VIP rooms are inspected to meet hotel standards regularly and that all rooms deemed out-of-order are promptly reported and followed up with maintenance teams until completion. The Housekeeping Supervisor is also instrumental in training housekeeping staff, further cementing quality standards and operational consistency. Given the dynamic nature of hospitality business needs, this role may require performing cleaning duties directly and managing biannual deep cleaning projects to maintain exemplary guest satisfaction levels. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with employees and guests are vital to this role alongside physical stamina to stand for entire shifts. The Housekeeping Supervisor contributes significantly to delivering a welcoming, hygienic, and comfortable environment for guests, thereby supporting Highgate’s commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction.
