The Housekeeping Management position at W South Beach is a full-time, entry-level management role focused on supporting the day-to-day operations across Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry services. This role plays a pivotal part in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction that W Hotels and Marriott International are known for. The position includes managing work assignments, inventory, inspections, and ensures efficient communication with other departments such as Front Desk and Engineering. The manager is responsible for supervising employees, overseeing lost and found procedures, ensuring compliance with loss prevention policies, and maintaining operational budgets. This role also requires a hands-on leadership approach to oversee guest room and public space cleanliness, guest room status communication, inventory management, and employee service behavior. Additionally, the position involves engaging with guest feedback and complaints, reviewing guest satisfaction metrics, and fostering a positive guest experience environment.

The employee in this role will earn between $25.77 and $29.33 per hour and is eligible for bonuses. W South Beach is deeply committed to providing outstanding guest services while maintaining an efficient, well-managed department. The successful candidate will have at least a high school diploma or GED with one year of relevant experience, or a 2-year degree in a related field without work experience required. Job Duties

  • assist in all lost and found procedures
  • obtain list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments
  • inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies
  • ensure guest room status is communicated to the front desk in a timely and efficient manner
  • work effectively with the engineering department on guest room maintenance needs
  • understand and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures
  • ensure all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms
  • assist in supervising an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public space
  • assist in managing linen inventory and guest supplies and assist in the ordering of supplies as necessary
  • assist in supervising housekeeping and all related areas in the absence of the director of services or housekeeping manager
  • observe service behaviors of employees and provide feedback to individuals
  • continuously strive to improve service performance
  • handle guest problems and complaints seeking assistance from supervisor as necessary
  • assist in the review of comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
  • set a positive example for guest relations
