Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods up to 8 hours
  • ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • availability for day and morning shifts
  • ability to commute to Sioux Falls, SD location
  • trustworthy and reliable
  • physical capability to perform manual tasks including bending, climbing, and kneeling
  • willingness to work in a professional hospitality environment
  • leadership experience of at least one year

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum one year of leadership experience in housekeeping or related field
  • strong attention to detail
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to supervise and train staff
  • knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • ability to follow safety regulations
  • team-oriented mindset
  • ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • prior hospitality experience beneficial

Job Duties

  • Ensure overall cleanliness of assigned guest rooms
  • clean and sanitize bathrooms thoroughly
  • strip and make beds to hotel standards
  • empty trash and wipe down surfaces in guest rooms
  • restock amenities and maintain room setup standards
  • vacuum and dust hallways and stairwells
  • restock housekeeping carts with linens and supplies
  • assist other housekeeping staff as directed
  • manage and train housekeeping staff
  • conduct room and facility inspections
  • coordinate with other hotel departments
  • ensure compliance with health and safety policies
  • report maintenance and cleanliness deficiencies to Executive Housekeeper
  • maintain safe environment for guests and staff
  • uphold the hotel’s standards and brand requirements
