This role at Edge Fitness Clubs centers on leadership within the front desk department and overall club management. As a Front Desk Manager, you will play an instrumental part in maintaining an efficient, professional, and friendly front-of-house operation that aligns with the company's values of outstanding customer service and community engagement. Your responsibilities will include overseeing front desk personnel and maintenance staff, recruiting and hiring new employees, managing schedules within budget constraints, and ensuring the club's operational standards meet Edge Fitness's high expectations. You will be the face of the club, actively engaging with members to enhance their experience and resolve any concerns promptly. Facility upkeep and safety through daily walkthroughs will also fall under your purview, including managing cleanliness and organization standards. The role encourages developing a healthy workplace atmosphere where continuous improvement, training, and team development are prioritized. Beyond the operational management, you will collaborate closely with the management team to strategize on meeting club goals and participate in staff meetings focused on communication, education, and teamwork. Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership and people management experience
  • Proven success leading, coaching and motivating teams
  • Experience in a consumer-facing, service-oriented environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to foster a positive workplace culture
  • Familiarity with scheduling and payroll budget management

Job Duties

  • Maintains managerial oversight for the front desk department including front desk personnel and maintenance
  • Communicates regularly with department heads regarding performance
  • Recruits, interviews and makes hiring decisions for front desk employees
  • Authorizes and approves staffing changes including hires, promotions and terminations
  • Schedules front desk employees ensuring proper staffing within payroll budgets
  • Creates a positive and healthy workplace fostering continuous improvement
  • Coaches, trains and develops front desk staff in sales and customer service
  • Brings The Edge brand to life by connecting members to services
  • Proactively manages and resolves member concerns and complaints
  • Assists management in driving monthly and yearly financial performance
  • Monitors Fitness Consultants’ image and adherence to policies
  • Conducts daily club walkthroughs ensuring facility maintenance and cleanliness
  • Meets daily with management team to strategize club goals
  • Participates in weekly staff meetings to reinforce teamwork and communicate KPIs
