Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in management preferably in the hospitality or cinema industry
- Full-time availability with the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work on-site at the theatre
- Strong physical ability to perform job duties
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Ability to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and legal requirements
Job Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in a supervisory or management role
- Strong understanding of theatre operations and financial management
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and coaching skills
- Ability to analyze business trends and implement strategies to improve sales
- Knowledge of human resources management and labor laws
- Experience in risk management and safety compliance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace
Job Duties
- Establish and maintain exceptional guest services
- Oversee all aspects of the theatre’s operation and enforce company policies
- Ensure maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, payroll, human resources management
- Manage operating costs
- Lead, guide and mentor employees to maximize profitability
- Provide hands-on, lead-by-example leadership to staff
- Analyze business trends to develop and implement plans to increase sales and meet or exceed goals
- Minimize shrink, expenses and payroll
- Manage risks such as safety, loss prevention and emergency situations
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state and federal laws
- Manage human resources responsibilities including hiring, firing, and staff management
- Partner with corporate office to set and maintain financial goals and marketing standards
- Achieve or exceed key financial and metric targets
- Maintain a clean, professional, and safe theatre environment
- Resolve operational issues professionally and timely
- Manage merchandise and concession stock levels
- Control costs including operating expenses and maintenance
- Schedule employees efficiently to minimize payroll costs
- Develop and mentor employees for upward mobility
- Conduct performance reviews
- Resolve employee conflicts
- Create a respectful, diverse and inclusive workplace
- Train employees in theatre operations
- Communicate with assistant managers and coach employees
- Strive for the theatre to be the number one choice for guests
