As a Restaurant Assistant Manager at HAZA BELL, located in Manahawkin, New Jersey, you will play an instrumental role in supporting the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) and the broader management team. The Assistant Manager will be a key player in executing daily restaurant operations to the highest Taco Bell standards, ensuring the delivery of safe, quality food served with enthusiasm and efficiency. Beyond managing shifts and administrative duties, this role demands a proactive leader who can inspire, motivate, and develop team members at all levels, including Team Members, Trainers, and Shift Leads. The Assistant Manager will also take on responsibilities related to hiring, facility maintenance, health and safety compliance, cash handling, and maintaining overall restaurant cleanliness and service excellence.

Job Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within the restaurant industry with a strong understanding of restaurant operations
Leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings weekends and holidays as required
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to stand walk and move around the restaurant environment for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
Work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within the restaurant industry

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling

Ability to stand walk and move around the restaurant environment for extended periods

Certification in food safety such as ServSafe is advantageous
College degree in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred

Job Duties

Assist the restaurant general manager in overseeing daily operations including opening and closing procedures and managing shifts
Monitor and maintain restaurant cleanliness sanitation standards and adherence to food safety regulations
Ensure efficient use of resources and equipment to maximize profitability and minimize waste
Supervise and train restaurant crew members and shift managers providing guidance feedback and coaching
Assist in scheduling shifts and managing staffing levels to meet customer service and operational needs
Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries resolving complaints and maintaining high standards of hospitality
Manage inventory levels and order supplies to meet operational needs and minimize shortages
Ensure compliance with health safety and sanitation regulations and company policies
Communicate effectively with restaurant manager staff and corporate headquarters to convey operational updates and performance metrics
