We are currently seeking a seasoned Assistant General Manager to become a key leader within our dynamic team. This full-time position plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards our guests expect while driving operational efficiency and financial performance. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager will oversee daily restaurant operations, balancing guest satisfaction with rigorous controls on quality and cost management. This role demands a results-driven individual who can champion staff development, foster a culture of excellence, and engage hands-on management to support the team during peak service times.

The Assistant General Manager will be instrumental in recruiting, training, and mentoring staff to ensure outstanding performance aligned with the restaurant’s values. This leadership role entails managing front-of-house activities as well as stepping into kitchen operations when necessary, exemplifying commitment and flexibility. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Assistant General Manager will assist in monitoring profit and loss statements, controlling labor and food costs, and overseeing inventory management to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

A strong emphasis will be placed on safety and sanitation standards, with the incumbent responsible for maintaining a sanitation score above 80 percent and ensuring full compliance with food safety protocols. Administrative tasks such as daily logs, line checks, and financial reporting need to be completed with accuracy and timeliness, supporting transparency and communication between staff and upper management.

This role requires a professional dedicated to elevating the guest experience through attention to detail, operational oversight, and team empowerment. Candidates should be prepared to work approximately 55 hours per week, including weekends and holidays, with physical demands including standing for most of the shift and occasional lifting. Essential certifications like ServSafe and CPR are required or must be attainable.

Job Requirements

  • Availability to work approximately 55 hours per week including weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand for 90 percent of each shift
  • capability to lift up to 70 pounds regularly
  • proven management experience in hospitality
  • valid ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
  • valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
