Job Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- one or more years of restaurant management experience preferred
- ServSafe certification or ability to achieve
- ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds
- capability to stand and walk for up to 6 hours
- must be able to clearly communicate and understand directions in a loud environment
- availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- successful completion of background check
- commitment to embodying Panera’s Guiding Values and Behaviors
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- one or more years of restaurant management experience preferred
- ServSafe certification or ability to achieve
- proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen
- proven ability to run great shifts while directing, motivating, coaching, and developing others
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- flexible availability including nights and weekends
Job Duties
- Support the General Manager by making key decisions and problem solving
- plan and manage staffing needs, shift scheduling, people development, career development, and succession planning
- support the hiring, on-boarding, and training of new team members while motivating, energizing, engaging, inspiring, and celebrating the entire team
- assist with managing team performance to ensure bakery-cafe goals, operational and quality standards, and guest service expectations are met
- partner with the General Manager to develop managers on people’s processes and Panera’s Guiding Values and Behaviors
- ensure every guest is delighted by the quality of food, service, and team
- build engaging relationships leading to long-term, loyal guests
- follow operational procedures to successfully execute company strategies and initiatives
- ensure team members comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
- maintain a healthy and safe workplace meeting Panera’s health, food, safety, and culture standards
- assist General Manager in maintaining overall costs and inventory
- help build a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust
