Concourse Club is a premier rooftop lounge located atop the Element by Westin in Wood-Ridge, NJ. This year-round retreat offers guests an exceptional experience filled with handcrafted cocktails, locally brewed beers, and inventive small plates—all accompanied by stunning panoramic views. Known for its chic ambiance, Concourse Club is a destination where guests can relax, celebrate, and enjoy private catered events for up to 100 people. The establishment prides itself on delivering an unforgettable atmosphere that combines excellent service, a stylish setting, and quality food and beverage offerings.\n\nAs the Assistant General Manager at Concourse Club, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the rooftop operation to new heights. Reporting directly to the Restaurant General Manager, you will lead with integrity and performance, setting a high standard for the entire team. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative environment among top-tier professionals, all committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience that distinguishes Concourse Club from other venues. You will own shifts at both the sophisticated bar and expansive rooftop, ensuring a welcoming and vibrant setting for guests and teammates alike.\n\nYour responsibilities will span all Front of House operations, including human resources, day-to-day operations, and marketing strategies, guaranteeing flawless execution throughout. Partnering closely with the Hotel Management Team, you will ensure a seamless and unified guest experience that reflects the standards of the Element by Westin and the Briad Group. You will also be responsible for optimizing staffing levels to maintain efficiency while minimizing overtime costs. Driving the creation and execution of promotional events will be a key element of your role, collaborating with Marketing, PR, and hotel teams to generate buzz and increase community engagement. Establishing and nurturing local business partnerships alongside the Hotel Director of Sales will further enhance brand presence within the community.\n\nIn addition to your core duties, you will readily take on additional responsibilities as they arise, maintaining high energy and exceptional service quality at all times. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in assistant general manager or related hospitality role
  • Previous experience managing a full-service restaurant with at least 2 million in volume
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage front of house operations including HR and marketing
  • Proven ability to lead a team and optimize staffing
  • Experience with promotional events and community partnership development
  • Must be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience as an assistant general manager, service manager, or bar manager at a full-service restaurant with a 2 million plus volume
  • Experience with promotional events and social catering is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-growing and emerging environment
