Job Description

McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality (MML) is a distinguished hospitality company dedicated to crafting some of the world’s most memorable experiences by seamlessly blending exceptional food, inspired design, thoughtful service, and authentic storytelling. Founded by industry leaders Larry McGuire, Tom Moorman, and Liz Lambert, MML has earned a reputation for its refined, character-driven approach to restaurants and hotels. The company’s work is deeply rooted in creativity, quality, and a strong sense of place, consistently delivering environments and experiences that resonate on emotional and cultural levels. Currently, MML is expanding its footprint into iconic destinations across Texas, California, Colorado, and beyond, under the culinary leadership of James Beard Award-winning chef April Bloomfield, anchoring its commitment to innovative and inspired hospitality.

Neighborhood Sushi, a notable part of the MML portfolio, offers Japanese-inspired cuisine in a setting that is both casual and elevated. Situated in Dallas, Neighborhood Sushi draws on Texas flavors, Japanese design principles, and the signature hospitality that MML is known for. This unique fusion creates a dining atmosphere that is approachable yet thoughtful, focusing on pristine sushi, seasonal small plates, and genuine guest care. The restaurant holds a special place in MML’s history, embodying the company’s mission to blend exceptional culinary experiences with a welcoming ambiance.

The role of Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Neighborhood Sushi is a pivotal leadership position focused on supporting the General Manager in delivering excellent daily restaurant operations and outstanding guest experiences. This is a full-time position ideal for a motivated leader eager to grow within a well-respected hospitality group. The AGM will develop operational, financial, and leadership skills while functioning as a hands-on leader for both front-of-house and back-of-house teams. Key responsibilities include team development, service execution, and upholding MML’s renowned standards of hospitality. The AGM is expected to be a visible presence on the restaurant floor, ensuring smooth daily operations, overseeing scheduling, labor management, cost controls, and handling guest feedback professionally and with care. Additionally, the AGM will uphold health, safety, and regulatory compliance and provide leadership coverage in the General Manager’s absence.

This role offers competitive salary, bonus potential, and opportunities for advancement within the MML Hospitality group. Employees benefit from paid time off, MML property discounts (including hotel, restaurant, and retail), beverage education reimbursement, community service opportunities, relocation assistance when applicable, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and pet insurance, as well as retirement benefits and parental leave. The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, coupled with physical demands typical of a fast-paced restaurant environment. MML Hospitality is an equal-opportunity employer committed to fair employment practices and making decisions based on job-related qualifications and business needs. Employment offers are contingent upon a comprehensive background check to verify employment history, education credentials, and other relevant information, ensuring a safe and professional workplace environment.
