With thousands of locations worldwide, the company prides itself on fostering a welcoming and family-oriented atmosphere that differentiates it from its competitors. Wendy's dedication to training and employee development creates a strong corporate culture where team members can thrive, grow, and build rewarding careers.
As a member of the Wendy's store Management Team, the Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant while upholding the brand's commitment to superior service and product excellence. The AGM supports the General Manager by overseeing the restaurant's daily activities, including managing staff, maintaining operational standards, and driving sales performance to meet established goals. This position is tailored for career-minded individuals who are motivated by leadership challenges and take pride in building a cohesive and efficient team. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for fostering a positive work environment and customer relations.
The AGM at Wendy's is more than just a managerial position; it is a stepping stone to a lucrative management career within the company. The role offers flexible schedules, competitive pay ranging from $16.00 to $20.00 per hour, and an attractive benefits package including health, dental, vision insurance options, and 401(k) plans with employer match. Wendy's encourages internal promotions, providing ample opportunities for advancement to roles such as General Manager, Training General Manager, and District Manager. This clear career pathway is supported by comprehensive training and development programs that help Assistant General Managers grow professionally and personally.
In this role, the AGM is responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and managing equipment and facility maintenance. Additionally, the AGM interviews, hires, trains, and coaches team members to uphold the Wendy's brand standards and create a fun and family-friendly environment for both employees and customers. The daily duties include scheduling staff shifts, managing financial controls, and addressing any operational challenges promptly and effectively.
Wendy's commitment to inclusivity and diversity further enhances the company culture. The workplace is welcoming to individuals of all backgrounds, and Wendy's provides reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities. The company maintains a strict policy against discrimination and is dedicated to fair employment practices.
