Job Description

Ruby Sunshine Restaurant Group is a dynamic and hospitality-driven company known for bringing the spirit and soul of New Orleans to brunch every day. The group prides itself on delivering great food alongside genuine hospitality, creating a fun, welcoming environment where both guests and team members, known as Krewe, can thrive. As a prominent restaurant group specializing in breakfast, brunch, and lunch, Ruby Sunshine emphasizes high-volume, fast-paced service combined with quality food and exceptional dining experiences. The company culture values energy, team development, and a passion for hospitality, making it a favored destination not only for guests but also for professionals seeking to grow in the restaurant management industry.

The Assistant General Manager / Kitchen Manager role at Ruby Sunshine is a hybrid leadership position tailored for individuals who excel in fast-paced, high-volume restaurant settings. This role uniquely blends operational leadership with direct support to both the heart of house (kitchen) and front of house teams. The successful candidate will lead daily operations, oversee food quality, and ensure exceptional hospitality standards while nurturing a positive team culture. Responsible for stepping in as the primary leadership support in the General Manager's absence, this role demands someone with a solid background in both kitchen and front-of-house management, who can motivate and develop their teams to deliver consistently excellent guest experiences. The position focuses equally on managing operational standards, staffing, scheduling, and training with hands-on support wherever needed to optimize restaurant performance. With an emphasis on accountability, execution, and fostering an energetic team environment, the Assistant General Manager / Kitchen Manager will play a central role in upholding Ruby Sunshine's reputation as a leader in the hospitality industry. This opportunity is ideal for career-focused leaders who appreciate the unique blend of management, mentorship, and hands-on operational involvement in a vibrant brunch-focused restaurant setting. Ruby Sunshine offers a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth, making it an attractive option for passionate hospitality professionals.
