Job Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong knowledge in cabin cleaning and security search functions
  • Experience managing teams in an operational environment
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast paced operation
  • Analytical thinking, goal-directed leadership, and service-oriented performance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective problem solving, organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach others
  • Must possess and maintain a valid US state driver's license
  • Flexible schedule availability to oversee a 24 hour a day 7 days per week operation including weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Residency in or near Newark area preferred
  • Ability to operate a computer to enter and retrieve data
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs on a consistent basis
  • Ability to pass all pre-screening clearances including fingerprinting, background check, and drug screen

  • Leadership experience with a ground handling services company at manager level or higher
  • Specific experience leading cabin cleaning/security search functions and other ground handling services
  • Experience working with union represented work groups
  • Familiarity with operational programs like AvTech and Inform - Real Time Stands
  • Knowledge of airport operations environment

Job Duties

  • Support the Hub team in achieving operational performance goals within a safe and caring environment
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the management team to maintain proper staffing levels and deliver superior customer service
  • Build and maintain a positive work environment with strong employee relations and collaborative relationships
  • Manage internal and external audits, financial reporting, budgeting, and maintain records of employee injuries, incidents, and accidents
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agency rules and regulations
  • Proactively solicit customer feedback to improve service and exceed expectations
  • Demonstrate calm demeanor during periods of high volume or irregular operations
  • Monitor station performance metrics and collaborate with leadership to meet or exceed performance goals
  • Ensure all employees are properly trained and understand their assigned duties
  • Document and process injuries, incidents, accidents, and customer service issues
  • Ensure the location operates in a safe, caring, dependable, and efficient manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
