The Assistant General Manager position at Double Cut Steakhouse within Kalahari Resorts & Conventions offers a unique opportunity to be part of an elevated dining experience unlike any other. Double Cut Steakhouse is distinguished by its bold flavors and premium steak selections, delivering unforgettable culinary moments in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The Assistant General Manager supports the overall success of the restaurant by managing daily operations, developing and coaching team members, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role works as a strategic partner alongside the General Manager, focusing on maintaining superior service standards, optimizing financial performance, and driving operational excellence. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management experience in hotel or resort
  • Prior full-service restaurant experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Preferred 2 years of directly related experience including craft cocktail exposure

  • General food and beverage knowledge with at least 1 year of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management experience in a hotel or resort setting
  • Prior restaurant experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Supervisory experience of staff
  • Preferred 2 years of directly related experience including craft cocktail knowledge

Job Duties

  • Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, the appearance of the facility, and sanitation and cleanliness through training of associates and creating a positive, productive working environment
  • Fill in where needed as interim Manager, Supervisor, or Associate to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations are met daily
  • Continually strive to develop, coach, and train your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development
