Job Description
Halo Sports & Entertainment (HSE) is a dynamic organization managing two premier live entertainment venues in Inglewood, California: Intuit Dome and KIA Forum. As a leader in the entertainment and sports industry, HSE is committed to delivering world-class live experiences that engage diverse audiences and maximize venue revenue. Intuit Dome, the newly opened home of the LA Clippers NBA team, offers a unique blend of cutting-edge technology and top-tier sports and entertainment programming. Spanning over one million square feet, the facility is equipped with multiple basketball courts, a spacious outdoor plaza, and advanced LED displays, positioning it as a landmark for both sports fans and live event attendees. Meanwhile, KIA Forum is a renowned high-volume concert venue with a rich history of hosting more than 100 live events annually, showcasing everything from major concerts to special productions.
The Assistant General Manager, Business Development - Booking & Live Entertainment, is a senior leadership role pivotal in shaping the live entertainment programming strategy across both venues. This role reports directly to the General Manager and acts as the chief programming strategist, deal-maker, and team leader. The successful candidate will navigate the complex scheduling demands of an NBA arena like Intuit Dome, balancing the NBA schedule with complementary events such as concerts, collegiate sports, family shows, and special productions to ensure consistent activity and maximize revenue. Simultaneously, they will sustain and elevate the momentum of the KIA Forum’s high-frequency concert programming by nurturing key relationships with promoters and agencies, enhancing the quality and diversity of live events without compromising operational efficiency.
This position carries the exciting responsibility of developing a 3-to-5-year pipeline of events, positioning HSE as a dominant force in Los Angeles' live entertainment scene. It requires a visionary leader who can integrate programming strategies with marketing initiatives, lead and expand a specialized booking team, and cultivate the distinct identities and reputations of both iconic venues. The Assistant General Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with NBA operations, venue operations, sponsorship, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution of events from announcement to delivery.
Offering a full-time, exempt position based in Inglewood, this role comes with a competitive salary range of $200,000 to $275,000 annually and a performance bonus. Candidates must be prepared to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the 24/7 nature of live event management. The organization also emphasizes innovation, encouraging the use of emerging technologies and AI tools to enhance operational effectiveness and fan experience.
Overall, this role presents a rare and unique opportunity for an experienced entertainment executive to build and lead a high-impact booking function from the ground up, shaping the future of two significant venues within a major sports and entertainment market. The Assistant General Manager will be a key player in driving both venues' growth and live entertainment excellence, supported by a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company contributions, a wellbeing allowance, and more.
