Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Three to five years of hotel management experience
- Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- Knowledge of safety and employment laws
- Ability to work independently and lead a team
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel, Restaurant, or Business Administration or equivalent education/experience
- Three to five years of management experience in hotel operations
- Knowledge of loyalty programs, brand standards, and hospitality industry systems
- Excellent leadership and customer relations skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Intermediate computer skills including Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key system, and POS
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
- Ability to analyze financial data and forecast trends
- Detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to supervise large staff and accomplish goals
- Strong issue resolution and analytical skills
Job Duties
- Coordinate, direct, and manage hotel operations to achieve maximum profitability
- Work with management team to manage employees, maintenance, sales, and profit/loss controls
- Set quarterly goals for departments and monitor progress
- Ensure product quality standards related to appearance, maintenance, and cleanliness
- Maintain guest service standards and a positive guest experience
- Oversee HR matters including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and performance management
- Monitor and control payroll costs and other expenses within budgets
- Assist in managing P&L by controlling costs and achieving budgeted CPOR
- Encourage open communication across departments
- Resolve difficult guest problems and exceed guest expectations
- Provide feedback, counseling, and performance evaluations to staff
- Attend operational meetings and staff events
- Recommend changes to improve service and quality
- Monitor supplies and inventory
- Practice safe work habits and ensure compliance with safety laws and guidelines
- Ensure facility compliance with OSHA and Cal-OSHA regulations
