The role of Assistant General Manager at Padel39 is a pivotal leadership position based at the North Dallas club. This hands-on role is designed for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual who excels in operational management and team leadership within a hospitality and sports environment. Serving as the right hand to the General Manager, the Assistant GM supports daily operations and ensures that the club maintains the highest standards of operational excellence, hospitality, event execution, and team performance. This position demands a professional who thrives on problem-solving, ownership of processes, and continuous improvement of systems and practices to guarantee flawless execution across all areas.

In this role, the Assistant General Manager leads the front-of-house staff and front desk, coaching, scheduling, onboarding, and holding team members accountable to maintain a culture of high standards and employee retention. They are deeply involved in hospitality and food and beverage services, ensuring excellent service during every shift, managing bar, lounge, and café operations, and complying with regulatory requirements such as TABC certification. The Assistant GM also manages inventory, vendor coordination, ordering, invoice processing, and daily financial reconciliation through software systems like MarginEdge.

Operational responsibilities include daily opening and closing duties, walkthroughs, checklists, booking oversight through systems like Playtomic and Playbypoint, and ensuring the facility and maintenance are well maintained. Standard operating procedures (SOPs) are not only upheld but also continuously refined under their leadership. Reporting operational metrics and issues to the General Manager is a key function.

Additionally, the Assistant General Manager plays an integral role in the successful execution of a variety of events, from tournaments and corporate gatherings to social events and clinics. This includes managing run-of-show details, coordinating vendors and staffing, overseeing setup and breakdown, and handling real-time problem solving to maintain a smooth and enjoyable member experience. Every member's interaction with the club—from court usage to lounge services—is shaped by the Assistant GM’s commitment to delivering a premium, top-quality environment where concerns are resolved promptly and facilities are consistently ready for use.

Candidates for this role should bring at least three years of experience managing a full-service bar, restaurant, or multi-concept venue with proven leadership in managing hourly teams. The ideal Assistant General Manager is a people-oriented coach with strong operational instincts spanning scheduling, labor management, reconciliation, and inventory control. Experience managing food vendors and vendor relationships is essential, alongside proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) and scheduling systems such as Union POS, 7shifts, Playtomic, Playbypoint, MarginEdge, and Gusto, coupled with the ability to learn new tools quickly.

TABC certification is required or the candidate should be willing to obtain it before the club opening. Availability for evenings and weekends during events and peak service times is necessary. Having prior experience with openings or startups is considered a plus. This role offers an annual salary range of $65,000 to $75,000, reflecting the importance and seniority of this position within the Padel39 team, which values dedication, quality, and community-focused leadership.
