The role of Assistant General Manager at Wendy's under the WKS Restaurant Group umbrella involves assisting the General Manager in managing the daily operations and staff of the restaurant. The Assistant General Manager plays a key role in implementing the company’s policies, procedures, programs, and systems, while ensuring that all activities within the restaurant meet federal, state, and local regulations, as well as ethical business practices.

In this capacity, the Assistant General Manager is expected to help oversee staff training, orientation, and development programs to build a strong and effective team. They participate actively in supervisory duties, helping to foster a positive work environment that encourages productivity and customer satisfaction. Attention to detail is crucial as the role also requires compliance with safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance procedures to support a safe and efficient restaurant environment.

Job Requirements

  • attend Crew Interviewing Workshop within 90 days of hire or promotion
  • Serve-Safe certified
  • one-year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
