This position is with a hotel company that operates within the hospitality industry, providing guests with quality accommodations and exceptional customer service. The role of Assistant General Manager is a key leadership position responsible for the seamless operation of the hotel. This position directly supports the General Manager and acts as their backup, ensuring that all hotel functions operate smoothly. Given the 24/7 nature of the hospitality business, the Assistant General Manager must possess flexible working hours with availability beyond scheduled shifts. This includes being accessible to staff and the property even when not physically present, demonstrating a strong commitment to the people and overall success of the business. The role involves supervising front desk staff, fostering a positive work environment, handling guest concerns promptly, and collaborating with other departments to drive revenue and operational excellence. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing staff performance, conducting meetings and training sessions, addressing emergencies, and maintaining compliance with company policies. The Assistant General Manager is also involved in administrative duties such as payroll reporting, financial reconciliations, and inventory management. Additionally, the position requires active participation in hotel safety protocols and ensuring adherence to company standards. - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or solid hospitality work experience
- Minimum 2 years brand experience

Job Duties
- Directly supervise, lead, and train the front desk staff in collaboration with the General Manager
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration
- Provide excellent customer service and address guest concerns
- Work daily shifts on the front desk during periods of slow business and while Guest Service Agents are on breaks
- Monitor Front Desk Agent performance and work alongside the General Manager to conduct disciplinary actions if needed
- Lead staff meetings and brand training with Guest Service Agents
- Serve as the main contact during call-outs and fill-in for shifts as needed
- Drive revenue and collaborate with the Director of Sales as needed
- Attend revenue calls
- Assist with the management of group bookings
- Understand the Daly Detective Lead Program and promote active participation by the front desk team
- Compute timecards daily, reconcile housekeeping reports, maintain room inventories, and complete Daily Payroll Report if requested by the General Manager
- Complete Daily Business Reports, review audit, count money, and make deposits in the General Manager's absence
- Run Direct Bill Statements and mail on a weekly basis, enter payments as received
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising hotel employees
- Assist other hotel departments as needed
- Inspect 50% of guest rooms monthly (25% if the hotel has more than 120 rooms) for General Manager's inspection
- Monitor onsite safety measures and lead team safety meetings
- Train under and assist the General Manager in all property operations and act for General Manager in his/her absence
- Complete Daly Seven Inc. and/or Franchise Company training as required, including the Daly Seven AGM MVP Program
- Ensure Daly Seven Inc. policies and Franchise standards are consistently met and documented
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the General Manager
- Investigate alleged injuries, accidents, or other incidents, completing incident reports
- Know where gas, electric, water cut off, and breakers are located
- Know location of emergency lights
- Know the location of the ADA box and how to use it
- Assistant General Manager must be able to lift 30 pounds, bend, stoop, and go up and down stairs
- Assistant General Manager is required to seek assistance if unable to perform the essential functions of their role
